For Android Devices :
Unlocking with Google Account
- During the initial setup of an Android smartphone, you associate it with a Google account, which can later be used to unlock the device if you forget the password or pattern.
- After multiple incorrect attempts, you'll see a message indicating a wait time and a ' Forgot Pattern/Password ' button.
- Tapping on this button prompts you to log in to the Google account linked to the phone.
- Following successful login, the device will unlock, allowing you to set a new password or pattern.
- An internet connection is necessary for this method, and the advantage is that your data remains intact.
Factory Reset
If the above method fails, you can perform a factory reset:
- Turn off the phone.
- Hold the Power button and Volume Up or Down (depending on the phone) for a while to enter recovery mode.
- Choose the factory reset option and proceed to 'Clean/Erase Data' and 'Wipe Cache.'
- After waiting about a minute and turning on the phone, it won't request a password, allowing you to set it up anew.
For iPhone Users:

If you forget your iPhone passcode, follow these steps:
- Turn off the iPhone by pressing the power button.
- Put your phone in recovery mode by holding the power button on iPhone and connecting it to your Mac or PC. On iPhone 7 series, use the volume down button, and on older iPhones , use the home button.
- With iTunes installed on your PC or Mac, you'll see the recovery mode screen. Use iTunes to control the device.
- Click on the 'Restore' option in iTunes. This deletes all data, including the passcode.
- After setting a new passcode, restore apps and settings from a backup or set up the iPhone as a new device.
