New Toyota 7-Seater EV: 61kWh Battery, 543km Range and Expected Price

Toyota is reportedly preparing a new three-row electric SUV for the Indian market, with the model expected to arrive around 2027. The upcoming 7-seater EV is likely to be positioned between the Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Innova in Toyota’s lineup.

The new electric SUV is expected to share its platform and several components with Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming three-row EV, currently referred to by the codename YMC. With a large battery, premium features and advanced safety technology, the model could become an important addition to Toyota’s electric vehicle range in India.

New Toyota 7-Seater EV: Design and Features

Toyota has not yet revealed the final design of its upcoming 7-seater electric SUV. However, its overall dimensions and basic structure are expected to have similarities with Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming YMC-based model.

Toyota could give the EV its own design identity through a distinctive front and rear profile. Large wheels, modern lighting elements and a strong SUV stance are also expected to contribute to its appearance.

The cabin could receive several premium features. A dual-screen arrangement with a digital instrument cluster and large central touchscreen is expected to be among the highlights.

Other expected equipment includes powered and ventilated front seats, a sunroof, wireless charging, a 360-degree camera and a JBL audio system. Safety features could include seven airbags and hill-hold control.

61kWh Battery and Expected Range

The upcoming Toyota 7-seater EV is expected to use a battery pack of around 61kWh. The same battery capacity is also expected to be used in the Toyota eBella.

The eBella is claimed to offer a range of around 543 km with this battery. However, the three-row Toyota EV could deliver a somewhat lower range because of its larger dimensions and additional weight.

The vehicle is also expected to come with Level 2 ADAS. This could include features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-assistance technology and emergency safety functions.

A 360-degree camera, seven airbags and hill-hold control are also expected to form part of the safety package. These features could be particularly useful in a larger three-row SUV.

Toyota 7-Seater EV Expected Launch and Price

Toyota has not officially confirmed the launch date of its upcoming three-row electric SUV. According to reports, the model could reach the Indian market around the middle or later part of 2027.

The expected price is estimated to be between ₹20 lakh and ₹25 lakh. Final pricing, specifications, variants and features will be known only after Toyota makes an official announcement.
