Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Tab S12+ launched: Specs, features and availability
Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab S12 series , made up of the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+. The two flagship Android tablets run a new 3nm processor, carry IP68 water and dust resistance , and ship with the S Pen in the box. Both go on sale from October 7 in select markets in Gray and Silver, though Samsung is yet to announce India pricing.
The more unusual addition is software. Adobe Photoshop comes pre-loaded on both tablets, which Samsung says is a first for Android tablets, along with four months of the Photoshop mobile plan for free. The tablets run Android 17 with One UI 9, and Samsung has committed to up to seven generations of OS upgrades and security updates.

At 5.1mm, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is the slimmest Galaxy Tab Samsung has made so far. It sticks with a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display that peaks at 1,600 nits, and Samsung rates the battery for up to 23 hours on a charge.
Samsung claims the new chip is 19% faster on the CPU, 17% faster on the GPU and up to 61% quicker at NPU tasks than the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. The company hasn't named the processor yet. A redesigned 3D vapour chamber is meant to keep that performance steady through long video edits or design sessions.
Galaxy Tab S12+ gets a bigger 12.6-inch screen with slimmer bezels
The Galaxy Tab S12+ moves up to a 12.6-inch display with thinner bezels than the Tab S11+, which Samsung says adds screen space without costing portability. It gets the same 1,600-nit peak brightness and a rated battery life of up to 21 hours.
Both tablets charge from zero to full in about 95 minutes with a 45W adapter. Audio moves to four-channel spatial sound, double the channel count of the previous generation, and Vision Booster now adjusts brightness in real time based on the lighting around you.
The screen can also split into three windows at once, so a lecture, Samsung Notes and an AI assistant can sit side by side. Note Assist summarises handwritten notes, while a six-month Google AI Pro trial brings Gemini and Gemini Notebook, which can turn notes, recordings and files into summaries, podcasts and quizzes. Samsung Browser can summarise across open tabs and dig up a page you viewed days earlier.
Beyond Photoshop, Notability comes pre-loaded with a six-month trial. Buyers also get a year of Goodnotes, a month of Notion Plus, a six-month Clip Studio Paint trial and 66% off LumaFusion. For those who want a laptop-style setup, Samsung is selling a Pro Keyboard with an aluminium finish and a dedicated Galaxy AI key, alongside a lighter Book Cover Keyboard Slim.
