Seamless Shopping: Flipkart Launches UPI Handle For Android Users
Flipkart , in collaboration with Axis Bank , unveiled its own UPI handle @fkaxis on Sunday, alongside introducing a new initiative dubbed as ‘India’s Most Rewarding UPI’. The service is presently accessible to Android users through the Flipkart app , enabling them to register for a new UPI ID for seamless fund transfers and in-app transactions .
The newly launched Flipkart UPI promises convenient and cost-free solutions coupled with a hassle-free onboarding procedure. Furthermore, within the app, users can benefit from one-click payments for mobile recharge and bill settlements. Complementing this service, Flipkart also offers the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card.
Expressing Flipkart’s commitment to enhancing the commerce experience, Dheeraj Aneja, Senior Vice President – Fintech and Payments Group at Flipkart, emphasized, “At Flipkart, we are committed to delivering the best-in-class commerce experience to customers by offering safe and convenient payment options along with a wide array of rewards and benefits such as Supercoins, Brand Vouchers, and others. In addition to facilitating transactions within the Flipkart ecosystem, Flipkart UPI extends its utility beyond the marketplace, enabling users to make payments by scanning QR codes. Since its separation from PhonePe in 2022, Flipkart has been actively developing its standalone UPI platform.
The UPI ID creation on Flipkart is open to users with accounts in any bank, without any associated charges. However, currently available exclusively for Android users, the feature is anticipated to roll out for iPhone users in the imminent future.
