Shoppers can bag a free Samsung Galaxy Tab worth £185 when upgrading their phone
Samsung is offering free tablets this month when customers upgrade their smartphone. The same deal has been spotted at two competing retailers, providing a complimentary Galaxy Tab A9+ with the Samsung Galaxy S25 at no additional cost.
The best value option can be found at Currys-affiliated site Mobiles.co.uk, where the Galaxy S25 is reduced to £23.99 per month and £79 upfront on iD Mobile's 100GB tariff.
Another Samsung phone is included in the offer, albeit at a slightly higher price. Customers opting for theultra-thin Galaxy S25 Edge are eligible for the free tablet, with the phone priced at £29.99 per month and £119 upfront on iD Mobile's 100GB tariff.
After securing any of these deals by 24 February, shoppers can visit the Samsung deals site here to claim their free Galaxy Tab A9+.
Typically, the Tab A9+ costs around £185 from Amazon, depending on the model. Another significant selling point is that iD Mobile has already fixed its prices for the next year, so there's no price increase planned in April, reports the Mirror.
However, one drawback is that there will still be a change in 2027, when the £23.99 plan will rise to £25.49 from 1 April.
For instance, customers opting for the £23.99 Mobiles.co.uk offer will spend a total of £669.76 across the 24-month contract period, whereas Samsung presently sells the handset outright for a discounted £759.05 (previously £799). Our Technology Editor Dave Snelling praised the Samsung Galaxy S25 highly, describing it as 'out of this world' upon its release last year.
"Samsung's latest smartphones look out of this world," he said. "They get a massive speed boost, sharp-shooting cameras and are now the lightest flagship phones the Korean firm has ever made.
"They're also made of tough stuff, which should mean less chance that you'll break them, and Samsung has packed the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor inside, which offers a 40% bump in performance. Samsung is also introducing smart new features on these devices, including a 'Now Bar' which pops up across the bottom of the phone to show you the football scores, timers or how long the commute to work will take.
"There's also a 'Now Brief' which offers a quick snapshot of the day ahead, including weather, important news and diary events. There's even a smart new AI Select option, which can scan things such as football or airline tickets and automatically add the event to your diary or show you how to get there via your maps app."
Upgrading to the new handset also helps future proof your device, with Dave explaining: "There's more good news if you want to keep your phone for longer.
