Sigma's pocket-sized full-frame FP2 launches in India for Rs 2,16,500
Sigma has launched the FP2 in India, a compact full-frame camera priced at Rs 2,16,500 for the body alone. It goes on sale across the country on November 11, and Sigma claims it is the smallest full-frame camera body in the world.
The FP2 follows the original fp, which arrived in 2019 as a tiny, box-shaped camera meant to be built up with accessories. The new model keeps that modular idea and pairs it with faster hardware for both stills and video.

Inside is a 24.5MP partially stacked CMOS sensor. Sigma says the quicker readout cuts down rolling shutter, the skewed look you get when panning fast on an electronic shutter. Burst shooting reaches about 20fps for up to 200 frames, and autofocus now tracks birds alongside people and animals. There is 70GB of built-in storage next to the SD card slot, so a full card doesn't have to end a shoot. The rear screen tilts 90 degrees up and 45 degrees down, while a dedicated Color button cycles through 13 colour modes.
One switch turns the Sigma FP2 into a cinema cameraFlip the switch on top and the FP2 reloads its menus, controls and workflow for CINE mode . It records 6K open gate, using the full sensor area so footage can be cropped later for vertical and horizontal platforms. Sigma rates dynamic range at 14.1 stops, with 7 stops of highlight headroom at ISO 1250 and above in 4K full-frame L-Log. ProRes RAW, Leica L-Log, anamorphic desqueeze and 32-bit float audio are all supported. A Director's Viewfinder mode simulates the framing of cinema cameras like the ARRI ALEXA 35 and Sony VENICE 2 and BURANO.
Standard 1/4-inch threads let users attach third-party rigs, and Sigma has four new accessories. The EVF-21 viewfinder uses a 5.76M-dot OLED panel, runs off a single USB-C cable and tilts up 90 degrees. The HU-21 hot shoe shares flash communication with OM System and Lumix. There's also the LVF-21 loupe with 2.5x magnification and the BPL-21 base plate for 3/8-inch video gear. Sigma hasn't shared India pricing for these yet.
