Slack Code puts AI coding agents in the group chat, and everyone gets to watch
Slack has launched Slack Code , a product that drags AI coding agents out of private terminals and into shared channels where the whole team can follow along. Tag an agent like Anthropic's Claude, Cognition's Devin, GitHub Copilot , ChatGPT or Vercel's agent from any conversation, and it spins up a project-specific code channel to take on the job. That channel carries its own tabs for the conversation, the plan, the code diffs and a live HTML preview of what the agent built. Once the task is finished, the channel archives itself and leaves behind a searchable audit log.
