Vivo V80 India Launch on October 6: 7,200mAh Battery and ZEISS Cameras Confirmed
Vivo has officially announced the India launch date of its upcoming Vivo V80. The new V-series smartphone will be unveiled on October 6, 2026, at 12 PM. Vivo has also confirmed several key details, including a ZEISS-branded camera system, a 7,200mAh battery and a 144Hz 1.5K OLED display.
The Vivo V80 will be offered in Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue and Stellar Black colour options. After the launch, customers will be able to purchase the smartphone through the Vivo India website, Amazon, Flipkart and offline retail stores across the country.
Vivo V80 Display and Camera FeaturesThe Vivo V80 will feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone is positioned around photography and video recording, with a ZEISS-branded camera system on the rear.
Its camera setup includes a 50MP primary camera using a 1/1.56-inch Sony LYTIA 700V sensor with OIS, along with a 50MP ZEISS Night Telephoto camera based on a 1/1.95-inch Sony IMX882 sensor. A ZEISS ultra-wide-angle camera is also included. The front gets a 50MP ZEISS Group Selfie Camera with a 92-degree field of view, autofocus and 0.8x–2x free zoom.
For video recording, the smartphone supports 4K Cinematic Video as well as 4K recording at 60fps. Vivo has also highlighted AI-powered photography features, including more than 30 creative tools, Live Sticker Collage and AI Diwali Portrait 2.0.
Battery capacity is another major highlight of the Vivo V80. The smartphone packs a 7,200mAh battery, which Vivo describes as the largest battery used in its V-series smartphones in India. The phone supports 90W FlashCharge.
According to Vivo, the battery can provide up to 14 hours of continuous navigation and as much as 39.5 hours of local video playback. The company has also highlighted the phone’s energy density as part of its focus on long-lasting performance.
The Vivo V80 will be the first V-series smartphone to ship with Android 17-based OriginOS 7. This marks a software change for the V-series, with the new operating system coming installed on the phone from the box.
The Vivo V80 will officially launch in India on October 6 at 12 PM. Its price has not yet been revealed by the company. The smartphone will be available in Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue and Stellar Black, with sales planned through Vivo’s website, Amazon, Flipkart and offline retail channels.
