14 Defects: Supreme Court Flags Rahul Gandhi’s Plea Against CEC Gyanesh Kumar, EC | INDIA Bloc

Rahul Gandhi and INDIA bloc leaders marched to the Supreme Court to challenge the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. However, their 124-page petition has not been cleared for listing after the registry flagged 14 procedural defects. These reportedly include illegible and missing pages, incomplete authorisation documents, a court fee shortfall and missing digital records. The objections are procedural, not a ruling on the petition’s merits. The defects must be rectified before the plea can proceed towards listing and a hearing.
