Aaditya Thackeray Slapped With Rs 500 Crore Notice As Disha Salian’s Father Seeks ‘Justice’

A Rs 500 crore legal notice has been issued by Satish Salian, father of late Disha Salian, against Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray and former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh. The notice alleges that the leaders portrayed his pursuit of justice in his daughter’s death case as politically motivated and defamatory. Disha Salian, 28, died after falling from a Mumbai high-rise on June 8, 2020. Police initially treated it as an accidental death. Her father later sought a fresh investigation, including allegations involving several individuals. The CBI has now registered an FIR under murder and criminal conspiracy provisions, naming Thackeray, Dino Morea, Sooraj Pancholi and Rhea Chakraborty among others whose roles require investigation. Thackeray denies any link to Disha and has called the allegations evidence-free.
