Akhilesh Yadav’s Big Attack On UP Govt; Divya Mittal Resignation & Meerut Custody Row

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has made strong remarks against the Uttar Pradesh government, linking his criticism to the resignation of IAS officer Divya Mittal.Yadav alleged that honest officers are being prevented from functioning and that corruption is forcing officials to leave their positions.He also condemned the alleged assault and “third degree torture” of farmer leaders Digvijay Bhati and Mohit Jatav while they were in police custody in Meerut. Yadav alleged that the two suffered severe injuries and were not allowed to undergo a medical examination.Yadav further said that if the rule of law prevails, a case under Section 307 should be registered against the IPS officer allegedly involved.
