BJP's Gaurav Bhatia Files ₹2 Crore Defamation Case Against CJP Leaders Over Controversial X Post

BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia has filed a ₹2 crore defamation case against the leadership of satirical outfit Cockroach Janta Party. The case names CJP national convener Abhijeet Dipke and co-conveners Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka. The legal action follows a bitter social media dispute after Das shared a post alleging Bhatia called right-wing influencer Swatantra Bhardwaj a “dimagi naxal.” Das later deleted the AI-generated post but refused to apologise. The controversy also follows CJP’s protest demanding Bhardwaj’s arrest over an alleged assault during a June 23 protest.
