Blast Near Manipur BJP MLA’s House; CM Khemchand Singh Calls Attack ‘Barbaric’

A bomb blast targeted the private residence of BJP MLA Sapam Ranjan Singh in Imphal West, Manipur, early Friday. The explosion took place around 1:30 am while the MLA was present at the house. No one was injured, although the blast left a small crater and caused minor damage to the compound walls. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh condemned the attack as “senseless and barbaric”. Local women, including Meira Paibis, also staged a protest demanding the identification and strict punishment of those responsible.
