Boys' PG Building Collapses In Delhi's Satya Niketan: 1 Dead, 3 Critical, Several Feared Trapped
At least one person has died and three others are critically injured after a five-storey boys’ paying guest accommodation collapsed in Delhi’s Satya Niketan on Sunday afternoon. Several students are feared trapped under the debris. Police said construction work was underway in the basement when the building collapsed around 1:30 pm. Three people have been rescued and taken to the AIIMS Trauma Centre. Delhi Fire Services received the collapse call at 1:33 pm, with rescue teams arriving around 1:50 pm. Multiple emergency units are conducting search operations. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said an adjacent building was evacuated as a precaution. An eyewitnesses said several students remained trapped. BJP MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said a committee will investigate, while an FIR has been registered against the owner.
