BRICS Turns 20: Modi Calls For New Global Rules As Putin Takes Aim At The G7 In New Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed Russian President Vladimir Putin at Bharat Mandapam as the 20th anniversary BRICS Summit began in New Delhi. Modi called for a new and ambitious agenda for the next 20 years, proposing a continuity and implementation mechanism through the Troika. He also pitched a Seafarers Emergency Support Network and urged BRICS to give the Global South a greater role in shaping global rules on AI, cyberspace, biotechnology and critical technologies.
