Camac Street Showdown: TMC Blocks Police During Billboard Removal, Banerjee Announces Court Move

High drama erupted outside TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee’s Camac Street office after KMC officials and police arrived to remove an allegedly unauthorised billboard. Banerjee and TMC leaders blocked their way, triggering nearly an hour of jostling. Banerjee alleged the removal order lacked a memo number and billboard photograph, and claimed police entered his office unlawfully. He also alleged injuries to Derek O’Brien and staff members. Police, however, accused TMC workers of assaulting officers. With Banerjee announcing a Calcutta High Court move, the billboard row has escalated into a major political confrontation.
