Congress Claims Assam FIR Row Is Linked To Questions Over Himanta Sarma Assets | Watch

Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi has alleged that the FIR filed against Congress leader Pawan Khera is politically motivated and intended to suppress discussion on alleged illegal properties linked to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Speaking in Guwahati, Gogoi said Khera would cooperate fully with the investigation and follow legal procedures. He also claimed that people do not believe the Chief Minister’s assertion that he owns no property. The Assam government had not responded to the allegations at the time of reporting.
