Congress Picks VD Satheesan as Kerala CM After 10 Days of Talks and Leadership Battle

The Congress has appointed V D Satheesan as Kerala’s new Chief Minister after ten days of internal consultations and leadership discussions. Satheesan defeated contenders including K C Venugopal and Ramesh Chennithala in the race for the top post. Calling it the start of a “new Kerala,” Satheesan promised governance reforms and thanked Venugopal for coordinating the Congress campaign.
