Delhi SIR: EAM Jaishankar, LK Advani, Kejriwal, Top Poll Official Sandhu, SEBI Chief Get Notices
Several prominent political leaders, officials and bureaucrats have been flagged by the Election Commission over discrepancies during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Delhi. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, BJP veteran L.K. Advani, his daughter Pratibha Advani and Election Commissioner S.S. Sandhu are among those facing issues. The Advanis were placed in the “no mapping” category, meaning their records could not be properly linked to the previous SIR roll. Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri have also reportedly faced the same issue. Delhi minister Parvesh Sahib Singh and former BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva were flagged over “self name mismatch.” AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal and family members were also placed under “no mapping.” The final electoral rolls are scheduled for publication on November 4.
