Disha Salian Death Case Reopens: CBI Probe Ordered As Aaditya Thackeray Faces Fresh Political Attack
The Disha Salian death case has returned to the political spotlight after the Bombay High Court directed the CBI to register an FIR and conduct a thorough investigation. Shiv Sena UBT leader Aaditya Thackeray dismissed allegations linking him to the case, accusing the BJP of trying to defame him. Maharashtra minister Nitesh Rane, meanwhile, said those named should clarify their position and maintained that Salian's death should be investigated as murder. The High Court also stressed that allegations alone cannot make anyone an accused and directed the CBI to appoint a senior, experienced investigating officer.
