‘First Step Towards Safety’: Meta To Report Child Sexual Abuse Cases To Indian Law Enforcement

Meta has agreed to report child sexual abuse cases and other child safety-related matters to appropriate law enforcement agencies in India, according to government sources. Meanwhile, Meta India representatives appeared before the NCPCR on September 9 over an inquiry into alleged advertisements related to child sexual exploitation and abuse material. The NHRC has also directed the Delhi Police to probe allegations involving paid Instagram advertisements and compliance with POCSO reporting requirements.
