'I Am Sorry To...': Shashi Tharoor To Skip VD Satheesan's Swearing-In As Kerala CM

Congress leader Shashi Tharoor will miss the swearing-in ceremony of Kerala Chief Minister-designate VD Satheesan on May 18 due to prior commitments in the United States. Tharoor announced on X that he will be in Boston to deliver the commencement address at the graduation ceremony of his alma mater, the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, and attend the 50th reunion of his graduating class. Satheesan was chosen as Kerala’s next Chief Minister after the Congress-led UDF returned to power, ending the LDF government led by Pinarayi Vijayan. Satheesan also retained the Paravur constituency, winning his sixth consecutive term as MLA with a margin of over 20,000 votes.
