'India Can Attract Global Talent With Your Help': PM Modi Meets Space Startups On National Space Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured India’s private space industry of long-term regulatory consistency and government support for risk-taking during an interaction with founders and CEOs of 20 homegrown space-tech companies at Seva Teerth. The meeting coincided with National Space Day, marking the August 23, 2023, Chandrayaan-3 soft landing on the Moon’s south pole. Modi stressed that predictable policies are essential for private innovators to invest and take risks without fear of sudden regulatory changes. He praised India’s space entrepreneurs and urged them to build an ecosystem capable of attracting global talent. Leaders from Skyroot Aerospace, Agnikul Cosmos, Pixxel, Dhruva Space, GalaxEye, Bellatrix Aerospace and Digantara participated. Modi also encouraged wider use of space technology in agriculture, environmental protection and climate intelligence.
