Indian National Killed, Three Injured In Moscow Region Drone Strike Amid Russia-Ukraine War

An Indian worker was killed and three others injured in a drone strike in Russia’s Moscow region during a fresh wave of attacks linked to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. The Indian Embassy in Russia confirmed the incident and said embassy officials visited the injured workers in hospital. The Russian Embassy expressed condolences and stated that the attack targeted civilian facilities in the Moscow region. According to preliminary reports, more than 12 people were injured in Moscow city, while three people were killed and six others injured in the wider Moscow region. Russian authorities claimed over 120 drones were intercepted around Moscow within 24 hours, with attacks also disrupting airport operations and targeting infrastructure including Moscow’s oil refinery.
