Jharkhand High Court Stays Soren Govt's Order To Cancel JPSC Exams, Appointments
The Jharkhand High Court has stayed the state government’s decision to cancel the 11th and 13th JPSC examinations and appointments, following protests by students over alleged irregularities in recruitment exams. The order comes days after the Hemant Soren government cancelled the JSSC-CGL examination and recruitment tests conducted by TSR Data Processing Pvt Ltd (TDPL) since 2014. The government also announced the cancellation of the 14th JPSC and backlog examinations and set up an exam reforms committee headed by senior IAS officer Amitabh Kaushal to strengthen the recruitment system. While protesting students have welcomed the cancellations, they continue to demand a CBI probe. Meanwhile, candidates who cleared the JSSC-CGL exam and secured government jobs have protested the cancellation, arguing that successful candidates should not face consequences for alleged irregularities they were not responsible for.
