J&K Encounter: Lashkar Terrorist Moosa Linked To Pahalgam Attack Killed In Budgam

A major security operation in Jammu and Kashmir has resulted in the death of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Mohammad Asif, alias Hashim Moosa.According to the Army, Moosa was killed during Operation Korag, a joint anti-militancy operation involving the Indian Army’s Chinar Corps, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police. Security officials have linked him to attacks on security forces in the Pir Panjal region and identified him as a suspect in the 2025 Pahalgam terror attack.In a separate incident in Kathua, a CISF head constable allegedly opened fire inside a CISF unit deployed at the Sewa Power Project in Mashka village. Four CISF personnel, including an Assistant Commandant and a Sub-Inspector, died after sustaining injuries in the firing.Police have arrested the suspected shooter, while authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the incident.
