Karnataka SIR Row: DK Shivakumar Alleges BJP Behind ‘Big Conspiracy’ Over Bulk Form 7 Filings
Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar has alleged a “big conspiracy” to delete voters from electoral rolls during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in the state.Shivakumar claimed that BJP leaders and workers were submitting Form 7 applications in bulk and alleged that voters from minority communities, SCs and STs were being targeted.He also cited alleged bulk submissions in Vijayapura, Bhalki and Mudigere. The BJP has disputed the allegations, while local authorities have said voter deletions must follow Election Commission safeguards.The Congress has said it will approach the Election Commission and pursue the matter legally.
