Mathura SP Leader Rajan Rizvi Booked Over Alleged WhatsApp Messages to Woman

Mathura, Uttar Pradesh | Samajwadi Party leader Dr Rajan Rizvi has been booked after a woman bank employee alleged that he sent her unsolicited and objectionable WhatsApp messages.According to the woman’s complaint, Rizvi obtained her phone number after meeting her during morning walks and later sent her messages praising her appearance and qualifications. She also alleged that he gathered personal information about her and her husband.An FIR was registered at Mathura’s City Kotwali police station under Section 67 of the Information Technology Act. Following the controversy, the Samajwadi Party removed Rizvi from his post as state general secretary of its Minority Sabha, citing anti-party activities.Some Hindu organisations have made allegations using the term “love jihad”; these claims have not been established by the police.
