‘Modi Hatao, Democracy Bachao’: Kharge Leads INDIA Bloc Attack On BJP Over ‘Vote Chori’ Claims Today

“Modi hatao, democracy bachao” — Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s rallying cry at the INDIA bloc’s mega protest in Delhi. Kharge accused the BJP-led governments at the Centre and in Maharashtra, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh of being “governments of vote chori”. He alleged that the votes of youth, women and Dalits were being deleted and targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah over their support for Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Kharge said the Opposition would continue its fight until Gyanesh Kumar was removed, and declared: “We will fight together, remove Modi, protect the Constitution and strengthen democracy.”
