NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam On June 21, Computer-Based Test Format From Next Year: Education Minister

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has announced that NEET-UG will shift completely to a computer-based test format from next year following the 2026 paper leak controversy. The Centre said the decision has been taken to prevent malpractice and ensure the integrity of the examination system. Meanwhile, the National Testing Agency has scheduled the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination for June 21 after the original May 3 exam was cancelled over alleged irregularities. The CBI has also expanded its investigation across multiple states after uncovering evidence that the actual exam questions were circulated through digital networks before the examination.
