“No Compensation, Build A School”: CJP Volunteer Emotional Tribute To Father Leaves Ranka In Tears

CJP Co-Convener Ashutosh Ranka broke down after meeting volunteer Abdul Hafiz’s family in Bankura. Hafiz’s father was allegedly beaten to death after assailants attacked the family home on August 13. When Ranka spoke about seeking compensation, Abdul reportedly gave an emotional response: he did not want compensation, but wanted a school for poor children as a tribute to his late father. Police have arrested eight people and named three in the FIR. SFI and Indian Youth Congress have also demanded justice and further investigation. Watch
