'No Fracture, I Have Proof’: Suvendu Adhikari Says Mamata Banerjee ‘Faked’ Her 2021 Nandigram Injury

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has accused former chief minister Mamata Banerjee of faking her leg injury during the 2021 Assembly election campaign in Nandigram. Adhikari cited a medical report which he claimed showed no evidence of fracture or dislocation and announced a fresh investigation into what he called Banerjee’s false claims. Banerjee was injured on March 10, 2021, during campaigning and was later discharged from hospital with her left foot in a cast before resuming campaigning in a wheelchair. The controversy has resurfaced ahead of the Nandigram Assembly bypoll on October 6, with counting scheduled for October 9.
