‘Oldest Trick In RSS Playbook’: Owaisi Slams Mohan Bhagwat's Hindu-Muslim Unity Call In New York

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has criticised RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s remarks on Hindu-Muslim unity, questioning the RSS’s position on minorities. Bhagwat, speaking at a ‘One World One Humanity’ event in New York, said that a Hindu cannot believe Muslims should have no place in Bharat, stressing that all human beings have dignity and that different paths lead to the same goal. Owaisi alleged that Bhagwat’s remarks presented a different image of the RSS from views expressed by its past thinkers and writers. He cited writings associated with Keshav Baliram Hedgewar and MS Golwalkar while raising allegations concerning minorities, democracy and the RSS’s role during the freedom struggle. Owaisi also referred to the 2002 Gujarat riots, UCC, anti-conversion laws and UAPA, and urged Bhagwat to recite extracts from RSS-linked writings for public scrutiny.
