PM Modi At BRICS Forum: India Backs Secure Trade Routes, UPI Power And New Global Partnerships

Prime Minister Narendra Modi outlined India’s BRICS vision at the Leaders’ Session of the BRICS Business Forum, stressing secure sea lanes, freedom of navigation and safety of seafarers. He highlighted India’s focus on resilient supply chains, infrastructure, strategic sectors and UPI, saying 50% of the world’s real-time payments use the technology. Modi also pointed to India’s free trade agreements with nearly 40 countries. Under India’s BRICS presidency, he proposed removing the top 10 trade barriers, supporting 100 startups annually and creating 1,000 new business partnerships.
