Protests Erupt In Delhi Over Murder Of Manipuri Musician; Congress MP Targets Modi Govt
Delhi Police have arrested seven people, along with a juvenile, in connection with the death of Manipuri musician Vikram Singh in southeast Delhi. The 54-year-old, who lived in Kilokari village for several years, allegedly suffered a fatal assault after objecting to a group of delivery workers and dhaba staff shouting and drinking outside his apartment. Singh was rushed to Holy Family Hospital by his son Yaiphaba but later succumbed to his injuries. Police have identified the arrested accused as Bharat Kumar, Pramod, Ramzan Khan, Deepanshu, Mohan Vishwakarma, Vijay and Mannu, along with the juvenile. Following the incident, people from Manipur held a protest and candlelight march in Delhi, demanding justice and strict action. Police have also obtained CCTV footage and launched an investigation.
