'Rahul Only Leader...': Priyanka Kakkar Quits AAP, Takes Shots At Kejriwal After Joining Congress
Former Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar has joined the Congress, saying she could no longer defend what she described as the “indefensible” within the AAP. Explaining her decision, Kakkar criticised the party’s use of choppers for private travel and questioned the appointment of people without grassroots experience to senior positions in Punjab. She said the AAP had once attracted people of substance but was now struggling to retain them. Kakkar also praised Rahul Gandhi, calling him resilient and saying she had seen him and Congress withstand sustained political attacks. She backed Gandhi’s criticism of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and his concerns over electoral-roll revision and voters’ rights.
