Tamil Nadu Cabinet: CM Vijay Takes Home, Sengottaiyan Gets Finance; Check Full List
The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam government led by Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay announced the portfolio allocation for the newly formed Tamil Nadu Cabinet following the party’s landmark victory in the 2026 Assembly elections. According to the official notification issued by Tamil Nadu Lok Bhavan, portfolios were assigned to 10 ministers, with Vijay retaining key departments including public administration, police, women welfare and youth development. He also created a separate sports development ministry, marking a departure from the previous DMK government structure. Aadhav Arjuna was allocated the public works and sports development departments, while N Anand received rural development. K A Sengottaiyan was appointed finance minister and K G Arunraj was given the health portfolio.
