Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay expressed solidarity with the global Tamil diaspora on the occasion of Mullivaikkal Remembrance Day, reaffirming support for the rights of Tamils living abroad. In a post on X, the TVK chief said the memories of Mullivaikkal should remain alive and assured continued support for Tamil communities across the seas. Observed annually on May 18, the day marks the end of the nearly three-decade-long Sri Lankan Civil War in 2009 at Mullivaikkal in Sri Lanka’s Mullaitivu district, following the death of LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran.
