‘Tried To Drag Me Out Of My Car’: TMC MLA Kunal Ghosh Alleges Second Attack In 24 Hours, Accuses BJP

TMC MLA Kunal Ghosh alleged that he was targeted in an armed attack in Kolkata’s Phoolbagan area, less than 24 hours after an earlier incident. Ghosh claimed that 15–20 motorcyclists surrounded his car, smashed its windows with hammers and tried to drag him out while allegedly brandishing firearms. He said his security personnel had to draw their weapons and that he later took refuge at Narkeldanga Police Station, where he filed a complaint. Ghosh accused the BJP of involvement. TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee condemned the alleged attack, calling it the second such incident against Ghosh in less than 18 hours. Banerjee urged Governor R N Ravi to intervene and sought action against those responsible, while calling for an end to political violence.
