VD Satheesan To Be Sworn In As Kerala CM Today; 20-Member Cabinet To Take Oath

Congress leader VD Satheesan will take oath as the Chief Minister of Kerala today along with a 20-member cabinet at the Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. Governor RV Arlekar will administer the oath of office. The new ministry includes leaders from Congress, IUML and allied parties, with 14 fresh faces in the cabinet. Ahead of taking charge, Satheesan announced austerity measures aimed at ending VIP culture and reducing government expenditure in the state. Senior Congress leaders including Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra are expected to attend the ceremony.
