‘Violence, Thuggery’: Abhishek Banerjee Shares Video, Accuses BJP Workers Of Attacking TMC Office

A Trinamool Congress office on Camac Street in West Bengal was allegedly ransacked in the early hours of the morning, prompting senior party leader Abhishek Banerjee to seek action from the West Bengal Governor, Union Home Minister and Prime Minister’s Office. Banerjee alleged that the BJP was behind the incident and accused it of using violence, vandalism and intimidation against the Opposition. The TMC claimed the attack was planned, alleging that the office was entered around 4:30 am after Banerjee had left for New Delhi. The party also alleged that staff were assaulted and items including air purifiers, printers and television sets were taken away. Banerjee urged the Calcutta High Court to take note. Police and BJP have not yet responded.
