Woman 'Dupes' AAP Leader Into Marriage Posing As Officer, Runs Away With Jewellery

AAP joint secretary and Zila Parishad member Amarinder Singh Mandofal has alleged that he was duped into marriage by a woman who was introduced to him as a PCS officer. Singh married Manwinder Kaur in February 2026 at a ceremony attended by several prominent AAP leaders. He has alleged that Kaur and her family concealed her previous marriage, falsely claimed she was unmarried and misrepresented her age. Singh also accused her of leaving with jewellery and other valuables. Based on his complaint, Punjab Police registered a cheating and forgery case against six people, including Kaur and her family members. Police are investigating the allegations.
