Bermuda Triangle mystery solved? Scientists reveal massive structure beneath ocean surface

Washington: Scientists have proposed a new explanation for the mysterious incidents reported for decades in the Bermuda Triangle region of the Atlantic Ocean.

The Bermuda Triangle has long been linked to reports of ships sinking suddenly and aircraft disappearing under unexplained circumstances. The reasons behind these incidents remained unclear for many years.

Researchers from Carnegie Institution for Science and Yale University said they have identified a possible scientific cause behind the phenomenon.

According to the researchers, a massive rock formation nearly 12 miles wide exists around 20 feet below the sea surface in the region. The formation is believed to have originated millions of years ago and is said to float within the ocean without touching the seabed or rising fully to the surface.

Scientists said large amounts of methane gas bubbles are generated beneath the structure.

These bubbles reduce the density of water in the area, which could cause ships passing through the region to lose buoyancy and sink.

Researchers also stated that sudden drops in water density may create strong atmospheric disturbances in the region, which could affect aircraft movement and potentially lead to crashes.

The Bermuda Triangle, located in the Atlantic Ocean, has been the subject of scientific studies and public fascination for decades due to several unexplained maritime and aviation incidents reported in the area.
