EPFO E-PRAAPTI Portal: If your money has been stuck in an EPFO PF account for years, the upcoming E-PRAAPTI portal will be very useful. It will help those without a UAN access their old PF accounts to access the money stuck in their old PF accounts. Through this portal, people will be able to track their old accounts and the money in them. This process will use Aadhaar authentication.

Track Inoperative EPFO Accounts Online:

If your money is also locked in old PF accounts for years and due to this has gone into inoperative category, then the government is preparing to launch a special portal named E-PRAAPTI for crores of EPFO members like you. This portal will especially help you in getting back your hard earned money of years. It

is worth noting that due to change of job or non-availability of records of the old company, people were not able to withdraw their deposited money, especially those whose account is before 2014 and do not have UAN. Through this portal, people will be able to track their old accounts and the money lying in them.

What is E-PRAAPTI Portal?

Union Labor and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya recently announced the E-PRAAPTI portal. This stands for Employee Provident Fund Aadhaar-Based Access Portal for Tracking Inoperative Accounts. As the name suggests, this portal will allow people to track their old and inactive accounts using Aadhaar. This will be most beneficial for those who do not have a UAN number.

According to reports, this portal will allow members to track their old and inactive accounts through Aadhaar-based authentication. Reports suggest that initially, the portal will operate based on member IDs, but in the future, it will also support those who do not remember their old IDs. This will reduce paperwork and increase transparency.

A record-breaking 8.31 crore claims settled

According to reports , the EPFO processed a record 83.1 million claims in FY2026 , compared to 60.1 million the previous year. Of these, approximately 55.1 million were for advance or partial withdrawals. It's a relief that approximately 71.11% of advance claims were processed within just three days via automatic mode.

It is worth noting that due to technology, people have now been relieved to a great extent from the problems like adding bank account or uploading photo of cheque book.

The continuous improvements in EPFO's technology have resulted in reducing people's dependence on their employers. According to reports, around 29.34 lakh members have updated thier profiles online without the need to visit any office or company
