The 8th Central Pay Commission has become a major focus for central government pensioners, with employee and pensioner organisations placing several proposals before the commission that could significantly change retirement benefits if accepted.
Among the key demands are fixing pension at at least 67% of the last pay drawn or the average salary of the final 10 months
Pensioner groups have also sought changes related to Dearness Relief (DR), gratuity, family pension and pension-scheme choices.
However, pensioners should note an important distinction: these are demands submitted by employee and pensioner organisations. They have not yet become final government decisions or approved 8th Pay Commission recommendations.

According to the supplied report, the commission, headed by Justice (Retd.) Ranjana Prakash Desai, has been collecting suggestions through consultations with st
