Another bus gutted in fire; 36 passengers escape miraculously!

Hassan: A private bus travelling from Mangaluru to Bengaluru was completely destroyed in a fire after one of its tyres burst near Shanthigrama in Hassan taluk late on Friday night.

The incident occurred on the national highway. Around 36 passengers were travelling in the bus at the time of the accident.

According to reports, the driver managed to stop the vehicle immediately after the tyre burst. All passengers safely got down from the bus before the fire spread, preventing any loss of life.

The flames reportedly spread within moments, reducing the bus to ashes. Passengers lost their bags, mobile phones and other valuable belongings in the fire.

Fire and Emergency Services personnel rushed to the spot and carried out firefighting operations.

The incident caused panic among passengers and motorists travelling on the highway.
