Ayodhyas Ram Janmabhoomi Trust Receives Food Safety Certification for Kitchens
Ayodhya, October 10 (Daily Kiran) : The Ram Janmabhoomi Trust in Ayodhya has received a significant boost with the Food Safety and Drug Administration Department awarding ‘Bhog’ certification to all its kitchens. This certification ensures that the offerings made to Ram Lalla meet the standards set by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
A meeting was held at the PFC Conference Hall, attended by officials from the Food Safety Department and the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust. Following the discussions, the formal presentation of the ‘Bhog’ certificates took place. Notable attendees included Rajit Punhani, CEO of FSSAI, along with Govind Dev Giri, General Secretary of the Trust, and trustees Mahant Dineendra Das and Krishna Mohan. According to the Food Safety Department, this certification is granted to religious institutions and temples that adhere to food safety standards in the preparation, storage, and distribution of offerings.It officially recognizes the commitment to providing clean, safe, and high-quality offerings to devotees. The Trust hailed this achievement as a crucial step towards ensuring safe and pure offerings for visitors. The certification reinforces the quality of the bhog and the Trust’s dedication to food safety standards. Officials present noted that the ‘Bhog’ certification initiative plays a vital role in promoting high food safety standards at religious sites, with the Ram Janmabhoomi complex serving as an exemplary model.At the Sita Kitchen within the Ram Janmabhoomi premises, daily offerings are prepared for Ram Lalla. On special occasions, 56 different dishes are presented. Additionally, on Ekadashi and other significant dates, arrangements for fruit offerings are made, and fruits and juices are offered daily. After the bhog is prepared, the offerings are distributed among the Trust's staff, priests, and devotees.
