Bihar ASHA Worker Recruitment 2026: The recruitment process for ASHA workers is likely to begin soon across all districts of Bihar. According to local reports, the State Health Department has issued instructions to all districts regarding this. Consequently, it is anticipated that an official notification for the recruitment of ASHA workers in the state will be released shortly. A total of 21,000 ASHA workers will be recruited under this initiative; this includes 14,409 workers for rural areas and 7,289 for urban areas.

In addition to ASHA workers, 1,104 ASHA Facilitators are also to be recruited. This recruitment process has not taken place for a considerable time. Currently, 98,598 ASHA workers are active across Bihar. In the letter sent to the districts regarding the recruitment, the State Health Department noted that the current pace of recruitment is quite slow. According to a report by *Live Hindustan*, the department has directed all districts to complete the recruitment of ASHA workers within two months. Candidates who have passed the 10th standard will be eligible to apply for this recruitment drive.
