Bihar Police to begin large-scale personnel transfers

Patna, Aug 21 (IANS) The Bihar Police Headquarters' Personnel and Welfare Division has issued guidelines for large-scale transfers of police personnel from Inspector to Constable across the state.

In an official letter dated August 21, 2026, the Deputy Inspector General (Personnel) directed all DGPs, ADGs, IGs, DIGs, and concerned commissions and training institutes to initiate the transfer process across zones, districts, and various police units based on completion of the prescribed tenure.
