In another major boost to women’s economic empowerment, the Government of Bihar has transferred the third installment of the Chief Minister Mahila Rojgar Yojana (CMWREY). On October 6, 2025, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar released ₹2,100 crore
The scheme, which was launched earlier this year, is a cornerstone of Bihar’s mission to make women financially self-reliant through livelihood support, entrepreneurship, and skill-based opportunities.
Third Installment Released to 21 Lakh BeneficiariesThe third phase of payment
comes shortly after the successful completion of the first two rounds:-
The first installment was released on September 26, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi credited ₹10,000 each to 75 lakh women under the initiative.

The second installment, released on October 3, benefitted 25 lakh women in Bihar.

With this third installment, another 21 lakh women have now received their payments.
So far, 1.21 crore women across the state have received financial assistance, while a total of 1.4 crore women had registered for the scheme. The government continues to process applications and release payments in phased batches.
How to Check If You Received ₹10,000If you’ve already applied for the CM Mahila Rojgar Yojana
Women whose payments have been processed will receive a confirmation SMS on their registered mobile numbers once the amount is credited. You can also check your bank account or payment status
The Bihar government has already released the official payment schedule for the remaining beneficiaries. Funds will continue to be deposited every Friday until December 2025. Here’s the complete list of upcoming dates:

Through Online Portal:
Urban residents already linked to Jeevika groups can register directly on the official Mahila Rojgar Yojana portal.
Through Village Organizations:
Women living in rural areas can visit their local Gram Sangathan (village organization)
Eligibility Criteria:

Applicant must be a resident of Bihar.

Must be a member of Jeevika or self-help group (SHG).

Should have valid Aadhaar-linked bank account for DBT.
